Leah Sci-Fi is a Creative Industries Lecturer, prosthetics specialist, and sci-fi cultural commentator exploring identity, design, and technology through the lens of fandom.

With a degree in Media Hair and Makeup and advanced training in AI Ethics from the University of Oxford, Leah bridges industry practice with critical thought. Her professional work spans theatre, fashion and broadcast, with credits including BBC, ZEE TV, ASOS, Sony Music and M&S. As a P.Louise Pro Artist and experienced lecturer, she teaches across hair, makeup, fashion imagery, AI, and creative business — connecting real-world production to academic depth.

Beyond the classroom, Leah has built a recognised platform analysing sci-fi as cultural commentary. Known for portraying characters such as Seven of Nine, Nurse Chapel, and Queen Amidala, she combines professional prosthetics expertise with thoughtful exploration of representation, futurism, and inclusive design. Her partnerships with brands including LEGO reflect a commitment to authentic fandom engagement.

Leah speaks and creates at the intersection of science fiction, creative education and emerging technology, examining how speculative worlds shape real-world identity, innovation and social change. Through lectures, panels, workshops and digital media, she advocates for cosplay and fandom as serious creative practice and cultural study.

She is currently expanding her work into speaking, consultancy and long-form media, exploring the future of creativity in the age of AI.
